Glenfiddich Hosts 21st. Century Pioneers Summit

September 5, 2011 by Gary Leave a Comment

Glenfiddich, the world’s most awarded single malt whisky, is to host its first ever global exchange for 21st century pioneers, attended by contemporary innovators from all over the world. The Glenfiddich ONE DAY YOU WILL Summit 2011 will be set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Conval Hills, at The Glenfiddich Distillery, in Dufftown.

A new generation of pioneers will be celebrated and inspired at this global event

A new generation of pioneers will be celebrated and inspired at this global event

The inspirational two-day event will be attended by up to 40 pioneers, including adventurist Pen Hadow. The first person in history to sledge from Canada to the North Geographic Pole without any assistance, Pen will be talking about the motivation behind his pioneering explorations, sharing the stories of his life’s adventures and discussing the importance of self belief in achieving them.

Over the course of the Summit, three key areas will be explored: how new technologies are influencing the world of art and design, how innovation is affecting what we eat and drink, and how physical and mental limitations can be overcome to meet new challenges. The summit has been curated in association with The Future Laboratory, the internationally recognised trend forecasting, consumer insight and brand innovation agency.

As well as motivational talks from key pioneers, the two day forum will include inspirational seminars, exclusive nosing and tasting sessions of the award-winning and pioneering Glenfiddich range, a celebratory dinner and networking opportunities.

Places at the Glenfiddich ONE DAY YOU WILL Summit are limited and the global search is on for those with a genuine passion for conquering physical and mental barriers, the ability to tackle worldwide concerns, and the enthusiasm and confidence to exchange ideas and collaborate with a room full of strangers. To be part of this once in a lifetime event, eager participants should visit www.glenfiddich.com/pioneers.

The deadline for application is Friday 9 September 2011 and winners will be notified by Friday 16 September 2011.

Jamie Milne, UK Brand Ambassador, Glenfiddich said, “We strive to be pioneering and challenging in everything we do at Glenfiddich, and the Glenfiddich ONE DAY YOU WILL Summit 2011 promises to be an inspiring, educational event, with money-can’t-buy insight from the world’s leading pioneers from a variety of fields.”

The Glenfiddich ONE DAY YOU WILL Summit 2011will take place from 18-20 October at The Glenfiddich Distillery, in Dufftown, Scotland.
