This particular Single Grain Clan Denny, aged for 26 years in North American oak casks, comes from the Invergordon Distillery in the Scottish Highlands. Opens sweetly on the nose, carrying an attractive honey and vanilla character which develops to a fragrant hairdresser's style. The palate is clean and remains sweet, candy style, before running to vanilla and soft spices. The finish is short but still sweet with toffee and vanilla which evolves to an interesting orange pith style. Ratings: 92 Points / Jim Murray's 2016 Whisky Bible.
