At one time Campbeltown was the heart of the whisky industry. Campbeltown is a small town of around 5000 and boasted an incredible thirty-four legal working distilleries and proclaimed itself the whisky capital of the world.
Springbank is perched on the edge of Campbeltown Loch towards the bottom of the Kintyre peninsula in the West of Scotland. It is roughly three hours drive southwest from Glasgow.
