Tormore

Tormore is a comparatively modern distillery, having been built by the Schenley International company in 1959. Thus it was the first 20th century distillery to be built in the Highlands, a circumstance that generated a lot of interest.
The architect of the new distillery was Sir Albert Richardson, the president of the Royal Academy and the distillery buildings are so pretty that the distillery’s appearance has been likened to a spa by more than one commentator.
