Dallas Dhu

Dallas Dhu was founded by Alexander Edward, a prominent local distiller, in 1898 with construction being completed in 1899. The distillery changed hands a couple of times before coming under the wing of the Distiller’s Co. Ltd (DCL) in 1929. From 1929-36 it fell silent following a fire that destroyed the stillhouse. It was expanded in the 1960s and 1970s but was another victim of the DCL cull in 1983.
