Edencrofts launch of their new website has just made buying quality malt whiskies as pleasurable as tasting a fantastic dram itself!

With it’s fresh, clean look and intuitive site navigation, getting those favourite malts has never been easier.

With each whisky listing comes a detailed description with in-depth information that is perfect for novice and expert alike.

There are also videos available on a selection of malts and all the whisky listings give you the opportunity of leaving a review, thus enabling you to add your knowledge to the whisky community!

Over the coming weeks the dram selection available from Edencrofts will continue to grow and with that in mind they have added 3 New additions to their range this week with whiskies from the Highland and Speyside regions.

Age: 22 Year Old   Strength: 46%
Summary: Matured predominately in American oak, ex-bourbon casks as well as Spanish oak, ex-sherry butts, anCnoc 22 Years Old displays complexity and a wealth of character but its long lasting rich, smoky finish sets this dram apart from the younger offerings.
Colour:Bright gold with a copper tint.
Nose:Sweet and spicy with notes of honey and toffee. Warm Christmas cake is accentuated by the freshness of lemons, green apples and cut flowers. All wrapped in a delicate whiff of wood smoke.
Taste:Full bodied and complex. Distinct crushed clove, raisin and blood orange flavours are at the front, closely followed by layers of fragrant vanilla and leather. The long, rich finish is smoky and spicy.

Summary: anCnoc 1999 has been bottled in its most natural form – neither chill filtered nor coloured. As a result anCnoc 1999 may develop a light haze with the addition of water or if kept at a cold temperature. This haze is a natural characteristic of whisky that is non-chill filtered.
Colour:Amber with a slight yellow hue.
Nose:Soft, very aromatic with a hint of honey and lemon in the foreground.
Taste:Sweet to start with an appetising fruitiness and a long smooth finish.

Summary: Appearance:Bright amber with a tawny heart.
Nose:Elegant notes of golden syrup drenched over red fruit compote with a contrasting grapefruit balance. Touches of cinnamon and nutmeg add to a rounded, warm depth.
Palate:Vivid, tart cranberries and crisp barley marry harmoniously with stewed plums and roasted apples. Cedar wood and sweet cigar box spices add a delicate warmth and unique complexity to the long warm finish.
Finish:A beautifully structured balance of contrasting rich fruit characters and intriguing warm oak spices.
