Limited to just 888 bottles at cask strength, each bottle is individually numbered and packaged in a beautiful presentation box. At 53% ABV it has the sophisticated complexity of a legendary Single Malt Whisky that has been matured in Sherry Casks and fired by the smoky power of peat – it is sure to be an in-demand collector’s item.
Prometheus 28-year-old is an incredibly rare single malt from Speyside, although the exact distillery of origin remains a tightly guarded secret. A wonderfully balanced whisky, on the nose it offers hints of citrus with red apple and pear, leading to biscuit caramel and warming spice.
To taste, sweet malt, raisins and walnuts are balanced by savoury oak with subtle dark fruit, leading to a delicate finish with smoke and orange spice.
The launch follows the success of Prometheus 27-year-old, which was last year awarded a highly coveted double gold medal at the prestigious San Francisco Spirits Competition.
Prometheus 26-year-old also claimed the gold award in the category for ‘Best Single Malt over 20 Years Old’ at the International Whisky Competition in Chicago in 2016.
Prometheus is a very special whisky and one we’re proud to be able to bring to consumers. Prometheus 28 is one of the finest expressions in the range yet and is not to be missed.
Only a limited number of barrels are available of this very special spirit, and once it’s gone, it’s gone. The smoky notes deliver a unique flavour experience and is the perfect dram to be savoured.
