The competition to win the £4,000 (well £3,995 actually), 50 year old Glenfarclas (see: this entry) from the Master of Malt is nearly over with only 49 bottles left (at time of posting) to be sold to be eligible for entry into the draw.
The competition closes on June 19th. regardless.
So, if you’re tempted and have been holding back then hold-back no more or prepare to be disappointed and miss out on that chance to enter the competition and bag that gorgeous Glenfarclas.

The competition to win a £4,000 (well £3,995 actually), 50 year old Glenfarclas (see: this entry) from the Master of Malt has now entered it’s 3rd. day and of the 500 bottles that could be bought to be eligible for entry into the draw, that number (at time of writing) is already down to 381.
We popped a little widget to keep track of the dwindling number of available entries onto our blog, you can see it above and to the right of the page and it’s been going down at a fair rate of knots.
As you would expect, the cheaper Glenfarclas brands have been selling the most, the Glenfarclas 15 Year Old and Glenfarclas 105, which were originally part of the list people could buy from to be eligible to enter the competition, have now sold out.
The cheapest malt to be had now is the Glenfarclas 10 Year Old at £27.97 followed by the Glenfarclas 21 Year Old priced at £60.15, the Glenfarclas 1987 Single Oloroso Cask (£66.45) and lastly the Glenfarclas 175th Anniversary retailing for £74.33.
If the peeps at Master of Malt haven’t got plenty of the above in stock and the un-thinkable happens and they run out then you’re starting to head towards malts costing £100 and considerably more.
So, if you’re tempted it might be wise to buy now or run the risk of digging deeper into your pockets a little later on if you want to enter the competition and be in with a chance to bag that gorgeous Glenfarclas.
There is a chance that if the cheaper stocks all sell out the more expensive malts might put people off and they won’t sell the allotted amount of 500.
In that case you’ll have a greater chance of winning as the odds will be more in your favour. 1 in 400 is better than 1 in 500!
