The whisky was distilled at Mackmyra Bruk and matured in Bodås Gruva for 9 to 11 years in 200-litre 1st fill ex-Bourbon casks and 128-litre 1st fill Oloroso casks. The whisky is fruity with the fine spice of tobacco leaves, raisins, buttercream and vanilla in combination with distinct smoky tones. The texture is creamy and medium-rich. Moment Lava is perfect for serving as an avec / accompaniment with a medium-strong cheese. NOSE: Fruity, spicy and smoky with light tar, chocolate and pear drops, marzipan and ginger. Lighter notes of Roquefort and minerals. TASTE: Fruity, slightly smoky and toasted oak in combination with salt and tobacco leaf. Sweet tones of raisins, butterscotch and vanilla. AFTERTASTE: Spicy vanilla, soft oak and tobacco leaves. A long and dry finish. |

NUMBER OF BOTTLES: 2300 ABV: 48% Vol. Moment Ledin is a special whisky created by our Master Blender Angela D'Orazio together with the popular artist Tomas Ledin, who is also a great whisky connoisseur. In the autumn of 2016, Tomas and Angela spent a day together in the Bodås warehouse, 50 meters underground, where they tried many different barrels. Tomas took a liking to the Sauterne wine barrel and the result was just as they both hoped an elegant whiskey that is both soft oaky and spicy. – It was a very fun experience to be able to participate in the selection of barrels and participate in the production process. The whisky is just in my taste, incredibly good, soft and flavorful. Of course, I am very proud of the results and that together with the country's leading distillery I am behind a Swedish single malt in the Moment series , says Tomas Ledin. Mackmyra Moment Ledin is a very limited edition of an elegant Swedish malt whisky stored in bourbon barrels for four and then finalized for five years on French oak barrels containing Sauterne wine. The scent is rich, fruity and spicy with an oaky and spicy flavor with notes of ginger, coconut, vanilla, orange peel and pear. – We had a lot of fun when we tested all the different barrels. I'm glad Tomas fell for the Sauternes wine barrel. Moment Ledin is crazy good with its soft fruity, spicy tones and soft flavors of fruit and buttery caramel. It is a perfect summer whiskey and I know it will be appreciated, concludes Angela D'Orazio, Master Blender at Mackmyra. NOSE: Fruity with notes of vanilla, soft pear, fudge and toasted oak. TASTE: Fruity with slightly oily notes followed by toasted oak, vanilla, smooth herbs and berries towards the end. AFTERTASTE: Long with notes of spicy herbs, toasted oak, vanilla and berries. |

The whisky is a Swedish single malt whisky partly finished in ex-bourbon casks saturated with wine made of Swedish wild raspberries. Skogshallon has also been seasoned with whisky from new American Oak cask and the result is a natural berry and fruity whisky with notes of red berries, vanilla, sourish caramels, tobacco leaves and toasted oak casks. Our Master Blender Angela D’Orazio has with our finest casks created an exclusive whisky with the taste of Swedish summer berries. NOSE: Natural and soft berries and fruity with strawberries, citrus and pear caramel, vanilla, ginger, white pepper and toasted oak cask.
