Robert from Highfern.com has kindly sent me an Angels’ Nectar sample to try from their range of whiskies!
It is their Oloroso Sherry Cask Edition and many thanks to highfern.com (@HighfernLtd) for sending it to me!
So, what did I think? Here are my tasting notes …

Nose: Creamy, sweet butterscotch, Christmas cake, treacle, caramels and with time, red wine notes. Oh and did I say caramels? Well there’s lots of them as time goes by!
Palate: Sweet vanilla creams with fruitcake and sherry. Finish: Heady, woody peppery spice with a little dryness at the end. Overall: A joy of a dram – to nose and to drink – a great choice for the fast-approaching festive season! |
