Hi Gary,
. Hope you can help. I have a bottle of Glendronach 12yr old highland malt whisky which I bought in 1990 still in original box. I am wanting to sell it as I got it as a present for my Gran to open on her 100th birthday but sadly she passed away 3 months before her big day. Is it worth anything?
Gill
If the bottle is from the 1980’s it can be worth something. The Whisky Exchange has one currently for sale for £120 from the 1980’s (which yours might be as you purchased it in 1990.)
In the dumpy style bottle it could be worth more. Here is an example.
Here is another.
The Whisky Exchange will also buy whiskies off you, but bear in mind you won’t get the price they will eventually sell it for, they need to make their profit after all!
Alternatively, you could auction the whisky. See our ‘Whisky Auctions’ page for more details.
Or you could open it, enjoy it and toast your Grans memory!
