CASK NUMBER: STRENGTH: % Vol. Each year as part of the Parker’s Heritage Collection, they select a special whiskey to be released in the name of their late Master Distiller Parker Beam. The barrels selected for this series include Bourbon, rye and wheat whiskeys, among others, and are some of the finest and most diverse American Whiskeys ever produced. They are a fitting tribute to the expertise of Parker Beam. As the second barrel finished edition of the series, this edition continues to pave the way for innovation at Heaven Hill Distillery. This 7 to 8-year-old Bourbon has been aged in the upper floors of Rickhouse Q and finished for four months in barrels that previously aged French orange curaçao liqueur. It is bottled without chill filtration at 110 proof. NOSE: Pepper, dried fruit, oak and vanilla. TASTE: Spicy citrus, nutmeg, caramel & hints of honey. FINISH: Strong, top of mouth, silky, toasted toffee. |

STRENGTH: 54.8% Vol. NOSE: Old fir trees – pine needles. Just like when you’re cleaning up all the old pine needles from your Christmas tree. Werther’s original sweets, digestive biscuits, heather and honey. PALATE: Rich & malty; Milk chocolate, honey, creme brûlée and caramel shortcake. Then sandal wood shavings with typical Springbank coastal notes of sea salt and brine. FINISH: Fruit notes with lemon zest, orange and hints of ginger. |

BOTTLER: Distillery Bottling. BOTTLED: 2017 CASK TYPE: Bourbon and Virgin Oak Casks. STRENGTH: 43.0% Vol. SIZE: 700 ml. This whisky is light and delicate, true to traditional Tomatin style. However the introduction of Virgin Oak casks into the mix offers a new dimension with a vibrant and enticing sweetness. AROMA: Vanilla pods, marshmallow, sponge cake and fresh pineapple, mixed with citrus lemon and boiled sweets. PALATE: Light and delicate with a candy sweetness which is peppered with hints of pine. Lemon sherbet, pineapple and crunchy green apples with a touch of freshly baked sponge cake. FINISH: Clean, light and refreshing. CASK: Matured in a combination of Bourbon barrels and Virgin Oak casks. |

BOTTLER: Chorlton Whisky. BOTTLED: 2019 AGE: 17 Year Old. CASK TYPE: Sherry Casks. ABV: 46.5% Vol. NOSE: Crushed granite, bright red apple, cherry lip salve and strawberry Nesquik. There's a nice little dirty note underneath that, leather and tarte tatin, dried fruit cake. Christmas cake. BODY: Quite gentle with felt and cardboard, orange segments and fruit toffee. FINISH: Something extremely Christmassy in here, I actually think it might be the smell when you cut wedges off the base of the new fir tree when you're trying to jam it into the base. It's literally that Christmassy. A long finish, with strident tannins and bracing wood against the fruit. Lots of citrus and orange peel at the end. TASTING NOTES: Ben's Whisky Blog. |
