As the name reveals, this is the first batch of That Boutique-y Whisky Company’s Bowmore from Master Of Malt. If you love sherried malts combined with peat then this one is for you!
If you don’t already know, ‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles Scotch Single Malt Whiskies from a variety of renowned distilleries. Add a quirky comic book style label and you’ve got a distinctive, desirable brand.
This one features the distillery of Bowmore. Behind the outer wall sits the famous Malt Mobile. A cheeky schoolboy, clasping a bra, tears across the foreground chased by a life guard from the nearby pool, which is heated by the waste heat from Bowmore’s copper pot stills.
If you can work out what all that means, you’re a better person than me. (And drop me a line explaining it!)
Tasting Notes
(That Boutique-y Whisky Company) |
Nose: Smokey and peaty, creamy vanilla hits you straight away.
Palate: Nice peaty flavour – the 48.7% makes itself known! Nevertheless it is smooth and silky. Fruity, mostly of sultanas Finish: Lovely tastes of sherry, fruit with smoky overtones. Overall: Packs a punch at this strength but delivers it in a gentle way! A perfect fireside malt with the bottle being not too far away! |
Many thanks to Master Of Malt for this sample.
