Country: American   Region: American
Age:    Strength: 47%
Summary: Jefferson's Presidential Select is an ultra rare, ultra premium single barrel Bourbon bottled from the last year in operation of the Louisville's renowned Stitzel-Weller Distillery, the distillery famed for Old Weller and Pappy Van Winkle. Elijah Craig – 18 Year Old Single Barrel 70cl Bottle
Country: American   Region: American
Age: 18 Year Old   Strength:
Summary: Elijah Craig 18-year-old Single Barrel Bourbon, the oldest Single Barrel Bourbon available in the world, is bottled soley from one barrel hand-selected by Master Distiller Parker Beam. Only a handful of the millions of barrels of Bourbon aging in Kentucky have been allowed to mature this long. The brand is named for Rev. Elijah Craig, the man who discovered the method of making true Kentucky Bourbon when he stored his wares in barrels that had been charred by fire. Bon Appetit magazine describes this Single Barrel as 'rich and complex, a whiskey suggestive of a fine Cognac.' Dave Broom, Handbook of Whisky writes, 'Almost heathery nose, with some saddle soap/leather and rich nuttiness. Soft, rich fruit on the palate and a balancing spicy pepperiness. Excellent. A rating of five stars.'

Jack Daniels - Single Barrel 70cl Bottle

Jack Daniels – Single Barrel 70cl Bottle
Country: American   Region: American
Summary: Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Tennessee Whiskey, the world's first charcoal mellowed whiskey to be bottled by the barrel was first introduced in February 1997. It allows whiskey aficionados to sample the work of individual barrels, comparing the subtle difference imbued by the new American white oak barrels and the intense maturation process. Each barrel of whiskey is sampled as it comes of age by their current master distiller (and his tasting panel), they then set a few aside. These barrels are the ones with the smoothest taste and the most intense flavour of varying degrees of toasted oak, caramel and vanilla. The few destined for something special – to be sold, one barrel at a time to our most discriminating customers. Jack Daniel's Single Barrel is always found in the upper most parts of the barrelhouse – they like to call this the 'Penthouse'. Because every barrel is different and in various locations in the barrelhouses no two barrels are the same. Each decanter style bottle of Jack Daniel's Single Barrel proudly carries details of the rick number, barrel number and bottling date, communicating that each bottle is completely unique.

Jim Beam - Red Stag 70cl Bottle

Jim Beam – Red Stag 70cl Bottle
Country: American   Region: American
Summary: Aroma: Distinctively fruity, without disguising the familiar rich nose of Jim Beam bourbon. Taste: Corn sweetness and mellow oak accented by a hint of black cherry for smoothness and balance. Finish: Satiny and judiciously sweet, with a true bourbon warmth. It's a brilliantly bold combination: Through a slow infusion process, Jim Beam's distillers start with fine four-year-old Jim Beam Bourbon and then complement its distinctive taste with hints of natural black cherry flavour. The result is like nothing you've experienced before, and one sip will have you rethinking bourbon. Sometimes the uncharted path delivers the most delicious rewards. Red Stag by Jim Beam is a sweet, well-rounded taste and delicious mixed or straight up.

Black Bottle - Standard 70cl Bottle

Black Bottle – Standard 70cl Bottle
Country: Scotland   Region:
Summary: The Island of Islay is renowned all over the world for its intensely powerful and charismatic Scotch whiskies. Black Bottle is totally unique in being created from whiskies from all seven of the famous distilleries on Islay. Its spiritual home is the Bunnahabhain distillery in the north-east of the Island. Black Bottle was created in 1879 by Gordon Graham and Co. based in Aberdeen. The three Graham brothers – (Charles Innes, Gordon and David) original business was tea but they switched their attention to whisky blending. Soon the popularity of the whisky spread through the East Coast fishermen who favoured it on long sea journeys. Black Bottle's name came from its original bottle design based on black German glass and echoing the traditional pot whisky still. In 1914, following the outbreak of war, production was switched to green glass as it is to be found today. Black Bottle has long been regarded as one of the smoothest and most balanced of the Scotch Whiskies. The skilful craft of blending only the finest malt and grain whiskies delivers a wonderfully balanced and whisky experience. Fresh and fruity on the nose it combines full, honeyed and delightfully smoky flavours that set it apart. The tasting experience is rounded off with a long and warming finish.

Mackmyra - First Edition Single Malt 70cl Bottle

Mackmyra – First Edition Single Malt 70cl Bottle
Country: Swedish   Region: Swedish
Age:    Strength: 46.1%
Summary: Much of the whisky has been stored in 100-litre casks, which produces an exciting, powerful ageing process. Also used were newly manufactured Swedish oak casks, made using oak that was planted on the island of Visings – 160 years ago and intended for use in building warships for the Swedish navy. The base is an Elegant recipe, stored in bourbon casks of first fill quality. All stored in the Bodas mine, 50 metres down inside the primary rock. The colour is light yellow, with hints of amber. The nose is fruity with citrus, pear, apple, honey, light oak with hints of lightly toasted bread and fresh, buttery caramel. The flavour is fruity and subtle, with citrus, caramel and honey. A light hint of oak can be noted at the end. The aftertaste is well-adjusted and balanced, with hints of dark chocolate. For optimal flavour, the alcohol strength has been adjusted to 46.1% using naturally purified water from the Valbo Ridge.

Jameson - Rarest Vintage Reserve 70cl Bottle

Jameson – Rarest Vintage Reserve 70cl Bottle
Country: Irish   Region: Irish
Summary: Nose: A real full bodied aroma. Initially sweet with ripe fruit notes of melon, bananas and dark fleshy plums. The unmistakable pot still spicy character combines to give hints of treacle, cinnamon and liquorice. Taste: A mouthful of flavours. Mellow sweetness and toasted wood are complemented by fruit richness characteristic of the port casks. A touch of creamy dairy fudge and dark chocolate add to the complexity. Finish: A tantalisingly long finish which covers the spectrum from the sweetness of fruit, through the spices to the unmistakable note of barley, where it all began. You've met the Jameson Family, now meet the Godfather of them all, Jameson Rarest Vintage Reserve. This initial expression of maturing rare pot still whiskey in traditional fortified wine casks is a triumph of the collaboration between the Jameson Masters; devotees to their craft whose skill and artistry have been richly rewarded. All the whiskeys in this magnificent Reserve are of an advanced age and have an immense collage of flavours to impart from their time in the wood. The pick of Jameson's older grain whiskeys were brought together with some rare and charismatic pot still whiskeys that had been matured in hand-picked second fill bourbon casks. These were carefully married with a rare pot still whiskey that was aged to a fantastic mellow sweetness in specially commissioned port pipes. The resulting union has a glorious, fruit rich character.

Compass Box - Hedonism Limited Release 70cl Bottle

Compass Box – Hedonism Limited Release 70cl Bottle
Country: Scotland   Region:
Age:    Strength: 100%
Summary: Type: Vatted Grain. 100% grain whisky made by blending single grain whiskies from different distilleries. Tasting Notes: Elegant flavours of vanilla cream, toffee, coconut. Lead Distilleries: Cambus, Caledonian, Cameron Bridge. Casks: 100% first-fill bourbon barrels and first-fill American oak hogsheads. Bottling Details: 43%, not chill filtered, natural colour. John Glaser's Tasting Notes: A rich, sweet, sexy style of whisky which you'll find is aptly named! Have you ever tasted really good grain whisky from Scotland? Unless you've tried the stuff in the bottle to the left, you probably have not. Most people haven't, even many serious whisky lovers. Almost no one bottles it! I believe that great grain whiskies from well chosen casks are the undiscovered treasures of Scotland's whisky kingdom. That's why I created this whisky called Hedonism! Hedonism is our award winning blend of grain whiskies. Stylistically, this is, (in my humble opinion), a beautiful drink: supple, silky, with elegant, rich flavours of vanilla, toffee, coconut and cocoa. It's also a rare whisky in that it's composed of the most perfectly mature casks of grain whisky we can find, and also because it always contains at least some component whiskies from Cambus. Cambus was sadly shut in the early 1990s, but is beloved by blenders for its soft, sweet style. Grain whiskies have been made in Scotland going back to the early part of the 1800s. They are the elegant, almost feminine alter ego to Scotland's malt whiskies. Most people think of them as the 'filler' whiskies in the well-known, commercial blends, but this is far from the whole story. Each grain whisky distillery in Scotland makes a distinctive spirit. And the best grain whiskies–from great casks–are some of the silkiest, sweetest, most mouth-wateringly delicious whiskies in the world. Hedonism is like nothing that's been bottled before in Scotland. No one has ever made a 'vatted grain' (a blend of single grain whiskies from different distilleries) that shows off how delicious Scottish grain whiskies can be! It's a rare and seriously sexy style of Scotch whisky, unlike anything else on the market.

Laphroaig - 10 Year Old 70cl Bottle

Laphroaig – 10 Year Old 70cl Bottle
Country: Scotland   Region: Islay
Age: 10 Year Old   Strength:
Summary: Laphroaig Malt Whisky is distilled in the Islay region of Scotland. Laphroaig (pronounced la-froyg) is one of the most distinctive of all malt whiskies. The distillery was built in the 1820s by Donald and Alex Johnson whose family name is still on the label. In 1847 Donald died in a somewhat bizarre accident after falling into a vat of partially made whisky ('burn't Ale'). Laphroaig (Gaelic: The beautiful hollow by the broad bay) has its own peat beds on Islay. Its maturation warehouses face directly on to the sea. For many, it is an acquired taste, but one which rewards persistance. Its palate is smokey with a long aftertaste. If you like Islay smokey whiskies, then you'll love this one, you can almost taste the sea.
